Lauryn McDowell grew up here in Bozeman, MT. She graduated from Montana State University <http://www.montana.edu/> with a bachelor’s degree in
Wildlife Biology. Dr. McDowell completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University <https://www.colostate.edu/> in 2016. Her background in wildlife enabled her to work with a wide variety of wildlife and exotic species during her veterinary training – from Sea lions to African lions, and everything in between!

Dr. McDowell has been practicing for the last 5 years here in the valley as a small animal and equine practitioner. Her professional interests are in general practice and preventative medicine with special interests in oncology, dermatology, and comprehensive pain management – including alternative modalities such as acupuncture

Dr. McDowell is newly married and she and her husband enjoy spending as much time outside as possible. They love taking their two dogs, Yoshi and Gage, hiking and camping in the summer, then skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. In her spare time, she also enjoys horseback riding and photography. They have a black kitty named Harold to round out their home.
